The chairman of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, Casey Wasserman, has publicly stated that he 'deeply regrets' his flirty correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell, a notorious figure currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in sex trafficking.

The emails, which date back to 2003, surfaced among millions of documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice. In one notable exchange, Wasserman commented to Maxwell, 'I think of you all the time... So what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?'

In a statement to the press, Wasserman reflected on the decades-old emails: 'I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light.' He also clarified that he had 'never had a personal or business relationship with Epstein,' emphasizing his disapproval of their actions.

Wasserman detailed his limited associations with Epstein while speaking about involvement in a humanitarian trip with the Clinton Foundation in 2002, which utilized Epstein’s plane. He stated, 'I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them.'

While the released files do not indicate any wrongdoing by Wasserman or others featured, they have prompted renewed concerns regarding those connected to Epstein, who was found dead in a New York prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking.

The LA 2028 chairman’s remarks come as Maxwell has agreed to testify before Congress regarding the government's handling of Epstein's case. The inquiry also involves testimonies from former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton due to their past associations with Epstein.
